My one to two week vacation has turned into a month or more, and to be honest, it’s been great. Thanksgiving weekend, especially, has been awesome. I’ve caught up on some much needed writing time, and spent the holiday eating, laughing and gaming with family. It’s been a great start to the holiday season.
I’ve been power reading through Joanna Fluke’s Murder, She Baked series – I’m on the third book in about as many days – as well as working on rekindling my love of Star Wars novels thanks to the local library. I wanna dive into my old-school favorites before the newest films come out.
Writing’s still at something of a stand-still, but I’m strangely all right with it. I’m feeling less stressed about it than I was previously, and just letting things come as they may. Speaking of letting things slide, I will be back to regular blogging in the new year, but expect things to remain quiet through December. Instead of worrying about whether or not I’ll write again, or finish a novel, I’m focusing on recharging my batteries, indulging in too much reading, spending time with family and gaming until my wrists hurt.
Whether you celebrate Yule, Kwanza, Chinese New Year or something between, I hope you’re having a wonderful, joyous holiday season. May all your celebrations be bright, and I look forward to returning fresh and revived in the new year. Here’s to 2016!
